We have spotted the Black Daal Mothership: The hotly-anticipated Dishoom is landing at 11 East 26th Street, a luxury office building right off Madison Square Park. The address was revealed in a filing with the State Liquor Authority, and a rep confirms that the restaurant will open in 2027. Dishoom’s plans to plant roots here in New York was first reported last year by Eater; the New York Times later reported that the restaurant would open in 2026. Now that it’s really official, this marks the latest escalation in the ongoing British Invasion, which includes multiple fronts: Indian restaurants (the vanguard was JKS Restaurants’ impossible-to-get-into Ambassadors Clubhouse, of course), pub culture, and Thomas Straker.
